The NC CSC offered a two-day training (May 18-19, 2015) in conjunction with the 2015 Open Science Conference. This interdisciplinary training was geared towards graduate students, postdocs, and early career scientists and managers from the North Central region. The training exposed participants to the NC CSC foundational science areas (climate drivers, impact analysis and adaptation) and related software tools being used in the NC CSC to help connect the latest climate science with resource manager needs. Teaching modules included a survey of climate data and tools, impact analyses and modeling, and an introduction to adaptation and mitigation, as well as a synthesis session.
