NC CSC Training for Early Career Scientists and Grad Students

Monday, May 18, 2015 - 9:00am to Tuesday, May 19, 2015 - 2:30pm

In conjunction with the 2015 Open Science Conference, the NC CSC will offer a two-day training (May 18-19, 2015) geared towards graduate students, postdocs, and early career scientists and managers from the North Central region.

The training will expose participants to the NC CSC foundational science areas (climate drivers, impact analysis and adaptation) and related software tools being used in the NC CSC to help connect the latest climate science with resource manager needs. Teaching modules will include a survey of climate data and tools, impact analyses and modeling, and an introduction to adaptation and mitigation, as well as a synthesis session.

Limited travel support is available for tribal participants, early career scientists, and students. Please contact Jill Lackett, Jill.Lackett@colostate.edu, to request assistance.
