NC CSC Monthly Check-In

January 28th: Montana State University's Paleoclimate database - Virginia Iglesias and Cathy Whitlock

In order to coordinate between the funded projects, staff, and wider University Consortium members, the NC CSC will be conducting a monthly “check in” webex conference call.  These will start in January 2014. The plan is to conduct these through June 2014 and then evaluate their effectiveness and frequency.

These calls will take place the fourth Tuesday of the month at 11:00am Mountain Time.

The plan is to spend the first ½ hour highlighting NC CSC-related science activity and then use the remaining ½ hour to share any updates or information pertaining to collaboration or coordination. 

Currently, the list of topics includes:

  • January 28th: Montana State University's Paleoclimate database - Virginia Iglesias and Cathy Whitlock
  • February 25th: Dust on warm snow, highlighting work from the Western Water Assessment - Joe Barsugli or colleague
  • March 25th: Climate Change Adaptation framework of the Southwest Colorado NC CSC project - Carina Wyborn
  • *April 29th: Drought Risk and Adaptation in the Interior (DRAI) – Shannon McNeeley (*5th Tuesday because Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment regional offering is in Jackson, WY, April 22-24 – visit nctc.fws.gov to register.)
  • May 27th: Regional Climate Model – John Stamm and Parker Norton
