EcoDrought Project Featured in NDMC Newsletter

The National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC), based out of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, posted a new issue of DroughtScape this week featuring the work of one of our colelagues, Shelley Crausbay. Shelley is part of a Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP) working group on Ecological Drought that has been creating a working definition and framework for applying an ecological drought approach to science, planning, and policy management. This new definition of drought takes into consideration the health of ecosystems and how healthy ecosystems in turn benefit human communities.
