CSU's Conservation Leadership through Learning Students Visit Climate Science Center

Students from Colorado State University’s Conservation Leadership through Learning Program visited with members of the North Central Climate Science Center on April 16th to learn about the work of the NC CSC and its application to conservation management.

The 18 master’s students met with Center Directors Jeff Morisette and Dennis Ojima, as well as other staff at the USGS Fort Collins Science Center (FORT) for a two-hour discussion on the foundational science areas - climate, impacts, and adaptation – and some of the direct applications of management projects solicited by the NC CSC. Geospatial Analysts Marian and Colin Talbert and GIS Manager Bob Flynn took advantage of the FORTs Resource for Advanced Modeling facility to illustrate research being done in the north central region and highlight their work with spatial data and habitat modeling.
