Objective: The objective of this daylong retreat is to bring together staff from the NOAA, DOI, and USDA region climate efforts headquartered in the Front Range addressing climate issues in the northern Rockies and northern Great Plains area to:

  1. Share what each organization does
  2. Discuss opportunities for collaboration and
  3. Create a vision statement for how we all interact and are filling unique but complementary roles in our region.

NC CSC Monthly Check-In

In order to coordinate between the funded projects, staff, and wider University Consortium members, the NC CSC will be conducting a monthly “check in” webex conference call.  These will start in January 2014. The plan is to conduct these through June 2014 and then evaluate their effectiveness and frequency.

These calls will take place the fourth Tuesday of the month at 11:00am Mountain Time.

Rising Voices II

The Rising Voices II workshop (Adaptation to Climate Change and Variability: Bringing Together Science and Indigenous Ways of Knowing to Create Positive Solutions) to be held at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado from June 30 - July 1, 2014. The workshop is being sponsored by National Center for Atmospheric Research, the Indigenous People's Climate Change Working Group, the USGS Climate Science Centers, Colorado State University, and the U.S. Global Change Research Program.
